Vespa VIN number or chassis number location on all 4 differnt locations on the frames of Vespa.
Shows the location on the main frame where the frame numbers are stamped on all classic geared Vespa.
Vin , chassis or frame numbers are the model identification and particular vehicles number. They have a prefix of lettersfollowed by a number to indicate the model and then the actual identification of that particular vehicles stamped between two stars.
All prefixs begin with V for Vespa and end with a T for Telaio ( frame in Italian ) on an engine the prefix is similar but ends in an M for motor .
For example a 125 super prefix reads VNC1T * 012345 *
V for vespa
N states its a 125cc
C denotoes the model ( a super that came after a VNB that came after the VNA )
Number 1 the first series of this model
T for telaio indcating its a frame number.
Follwed by * and then the actual identicfication number of that scooter between the * ‘s
Most model production begain at 01001 for the first one of the assembly line .and so on .
