It’s often said that the best beginner mountain bike is a hardtail, but is this true? and does it apply to Electric Mountain Bikes? Hardtails are cheaper to buy and maintain, they teach core skills and loads of pro riders recommend owning one. Steve Jones on the other hand thinks hardtails are good but not as good as people say they are! Teaching a different set of skills than full suspension and adding a motor only separates the two styles of bike even further.
