Chew Chor Meng 周初明, a Singapore actor, shared his story and approach on his battle with spinal muscular atrophy.
He is a well-known household name in Singapore and Malaysia. After he won the Star Search in 1990, he acted in several drama series which left a strong impression in many Singaporeans.
in 2008, he revealed he was suffering from Kennedy’s disease, the neuromuscular disorder causes progressive weakening and wasting of the muscles, particularly in the limbs.
Ever since, his positive and "never give up" attitude has encouraged many people who are going through tough situations.
He also shared about how he met up the MOBOT’s founder, Mr Lai, who changed his perspective on mobility scooter. In particular, Mr Lai introduced the RELYNC R1 mobility scooter which is very modern and stylish. These days he will go about his daily activities, which includes his job as an actor, on this RELYNC R1.
