ICE Trikes were kindly invited to The Invictus Games in the Netherlands by the British Embassy to the Hague and the British Council. The Embassy were hosting Tent UK. An exhibition for the whole week showcasing the very best British innovation. A collection of products and services that are directly suited to the adaptive, sport and disability markets.
ICE trikes and their riders took home a wealth of medals during the games with Carlo Calcagni winning gold for team Italy, closely followed by silver for Gregory Quarles from the USA both riders riding ICE VTX trikes. Team UK’s Daniel Tasker was in fourth place riding his ICE Sprint X.
In the women’s events, Australias Kerrie Tessier won gold on her VTX and bronze went to Team UK’s Victoria Wales riding her Sprint. Team UK’s Denise Kidger came in a valiant fourth place on her ICE Sprint trike to a rousing roar from the crowd with congratulations and hugs from fellow competitors Kerrie and Victoria as she crossed the finish line.
