Initial tests on my Vehicle to Home system are going well, but I still have a few things to work on, including making sure that the inverter can NOT back-feed to the grid during a blackout. I couldn’t find an appropriate generator interlock for my breaker panel, so I 3D-Printed one!
I printed this part on my Ender 3 S1 3D Printer: https://amzn.to/3yZWU7x
It’s been fantastic. I can just print parts instead of having to always tweaking the printer!
Besides the PLA print, I also used some 1/8" diameter brass rod to make the pins that connect in to the breaker handle: https://amzn.to/38AwtdB
The breakers are Eaton CH type. The new breaker for the inverter input is a 30A/240V breaker: https://amzn.to/37Te9Mq
The "Generator Inlet" uses a NEMA L14-30 twist lock connection and features a green power indicator light: https://amzn.to/3NoYsfg
I’m connecting from the Solar City H6 inverter to the Generator Inlet with a 20 foot long, 30A, 10 gauge generator cord: https://amzn.to/3Lif1I8
