Downtown San Diego: The downtown tour starts along the bay and Embarcadero. Ride by the famous USS Midway and Stature of Unconditional Surrender (also known as the “Kissing Statue.”) Then jet over to the historical Gaslamp District with Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres. From there it’s up Banker’s Hill to Balboa Park with over 50 miles of trails, 23 museums and shops. Then back down the hill to Little Italy and the bay to view the waterfront.
Point Loma & Cabrillo National Monument: Start with a ride along the Port of San Diego witnessing the Fishing Landing along Harbor and Shelter Islands. Then off to Sunset Cliffs in Point Loma for gorgeous views of the Pacific ocean and Sea Coves. Next ride along Cabrillo National Monument experiencing the pristine view of the whole San Diego Bay and Coronado Island.
Historic Coronado Island: Start your ride with a 15 min ferry boat ride across the bay to Coronado Island. From the ferry landing ride the Coronado bike path along beaches, parks and neighborhoods to the famous Hotel Del Coronado. Continue south on the Silver Strand bike to Chula Vista and enjoy breathtaking views of San Diego Bay.
Harbor Island & Liberty Station: This is the perfect ride for people who prefer to stay on dedicated bike path. Cruise along the San Diego waterfront and over a dedicated bike bridge to Liberty Station, originally the Naval Training Center in San Diego since 1923. Recently renovated this facility now boasts several restaurants, shops and public market. Several bike paths, parks and viewpoints are scattered along the route. Breathtaking views of San Diego Bay await you on your return trip. A short side tip on Harbor Island will not disappoint.
