I made a wood beer mug as a little personal DIY project.
It’s made from a few pieces of hardwood flooring. The lightest color wood is Maple, the other is Oak. The red wood is one I wasn’t familiar with called Kempas.
I cut the wood to width on a table-saw, and then routed it with a 15 degree angled bit. I glued all the strips together into a cylinder.
The bottom and handle are Oak.
I used a "bar coat" 2-part epoxy as the finish and rotated the mug continuously while it cured so there would be no drips.
