Desiknio presents a world first in lightweight eBike technology; the combination of gearbox and electronic shifter.
The combination of the Pinion Smart.Shift and Mahle X20 was developed in collaboration with Desiknio. This unique bike combines the maintenance-free Pinion gearbox, a carbon belt transmission, and the Mahle X20 rear hub motor.
The Desiknio X20 Pinion Smart.Shift is equipped with a 250W hub motor, an integrated battery of 240Wh, and a central gearbox, weighing less than 15kg.

In 2017 Desiknio was involved in the development of the Mahle X35 system, and it was the first brand to introduce an urban ebike that came equipped with this system.
In 2018 the Desiknio Pinion was the worlds first lightweight eBike with a gearbox and a fully integrated system, the Mahle X35. In 2022 Desiknio was the first brand to introduce an urban bike equipped with the new Mahle X20.
Now, in 2023, with the aim of continuing to be the reference brand in the e-light urban sector, Desiknio goes a step further into the full integration of an electric motor and smart shift system.
