Christini’s new AWD Fat E-4 Ultra drive featuring Active Traction Control.

The Christini All Wheel Drive Fat E-4 is the ultimate E-Bike built for adventure, exploration or hunting. Equipped with 27.5 inch fat tires and Sram GX Eagle 12 Speed gear system, this bike is one of the last E-bikes hand built in the USA with a 6061 aluminum alloy frame which is cut, welded, heat treated, powder coated and assembled right here in Philadelphia PA. The Fat E-4 ultra drive model comes with a full SRAM drivetrain including SRAM Hydraulic brakes, rear rack, platform pedals and of our patented mechanical All Wheel Drive traction control system.

1000W Bafang Ultra Mid Drive with 1500W capable power. This bike has a 14.5Ah 52V Panasonic (we build them so we know) E-Bike Battery. Comes with a smart charger.

This bike comes with a custom built rigid carbon front fork but can be upgraded to front suspension for $500 upon purchase

About the AWD System:
Christini’s patented mechanical All Wheel Drive system delivers power from the rear wheel to the front wheel through bevel gear on the rear, to a drive shaft INSIDE the frame, to a miter gear set in the headtube (it’s a split head tube with 4 bearings) down to a chain in the chain crown, then to a shaft down the front fork which then transfers power to a front bevel gear and into the front hub where there is a front one way clutch (like the rear hub). This allows for a free wheel affect of the front wheel (much like pedaling the rear without putting in power) while the drive shaft is always moving and ready to apply torque. As soonas the rear wheel begins to stall, power is delivered to the front wheel, forcing it to turn. With the front wheel under power, thus preventing the rear wheel to "overspin" which allows it to regain traction. As soon as that happens, the front system seamlessly disengages and the bike is in rear wheel drive but always ready to transfer power to the front. This makes it is nearly impossible to wash out the front end. With added uphill traction and downhill control, you’ll be amazed at what our bikes can do!

There is no energy-robbing hydraulics involved. The light weight all-mechanical system works similar to that of AWD systems found on four wheeled vehicles and works much like the original Rally car systems before there was electronic AWD systems.

Pure mechanical Traction Control!
