BMW Motorrad has introduced a significantly redesigned version of the R 1300 GS, showcasing a weight reduction of 26 lbs. from its predecessor. The focal point of this motorcycle is its renowned two-cylinder boxer engine, which has undergone a new compact design. This has been achieved by placing the gearbox under the engine and implementing a fresh camshaft drive arrangement. With a displacement of 1,300 cc, the engine generates an impressive output of 145 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque, making it the most potent BMW boxer engine ever produced in mass production.
