In a move we never saw coming, Pedego showed us these new mid-drive bikes at their annual dealer meeting. Pedego has always been all about rear hub drives and throttles, but obviously they have come to realize that their customers want Class 1 bikes too. The Conveyor, aptly named because it uses a maintenance-free Gates belt drive, is aimed for commuters who want a very quiet ride. To silence the noise, they went with a Brose S mid-drive and an internally geared rear hub. Added features include fenders, an integrated battery and hydraulic disc brakes for a price of $4995, and you can choose between blue, black or brushed aluminum finishes.

They also have their first full suspension mountain bike called the Elevate. They designed the geometry in-house, and it features an X-Fusion McQueen fork with 140mm of travel in the front and a RockShox Monarch shock with 130mm in the rear. Shimano binders with big 203mm rotors and a 1×11 SLX drivetrain are mated to a Shimano Steps E-8000 mid-drive and a semi-integrated 15-Ah battery. It’s on Maxxis High Roller II 27.5×2.8-inch plus- sized tires. The Elevate is available in black for $5495. www.pedegoelectricbikes.com
