In November 2017 I was attending the Ebike Expo in Philadelphia when I met Brant Huddleston of DanceAfterSunset.com and had a conversation about electric Bicycles. The idea was to record our chat and use it for a podcast but I decided to film it for EBR as well, to share some perspective on electric bikes. We talked about the definition of an electric bike and compared it to a moped, we explored battery and motor technology, and talked about different classes of electric bikes. Some ebikes have pedal assist and others offer a throttle. We talked about the fit of electric bikes (cruisers, city bikes, cargo bikes, trikes) and even wheel sizes.
