The Tuono 457 is a groundbreaking new motorcycle model that showcases the latest in technological innovation from Aprilia. At its core lies the powerful 457 cc twin-cylinder engine, a cutting-edge design that was first introduced on the RS 457, one of Aprilia’s most prestigious models.
This liquid-cooled engine boasts a parallel front configuration, with double camshaft timing and four valves per cylinder. The result is a maximum power output of 35 kW (47.6 hp) at 9,400 rpm, making it the ideal choice for riders with an A2 license. Additionally, the engine delivers a torque of 43.5 Nm at 6,700 rpm, with 82% of that torque readily available at just 3,000 rpm. This exceptional performance level sets a new standard for front twin-cylinder engines in this size category.
In addition to its impressive power output, the 457 engine is remarkably compact and lightweight. This design focus has enabled Aprilia’s engineers to achieve an exceptional power-to-weight ratio, with the Tuono 457 boasting a dry weight of 159 kg. Thanks to this design approach, the bike offers unparalleled agility and handling, making it a standout choice for riders seeking a thrilling and responsive ride experience.
