In our review of the Pedal Core electric bike we cover all the important features and the results from our performance tests. This moped style e-bike has a unique full suspension design, featuring inverted “upside down” forks and dual shock rear suspension. This suspension impressed our test riders in the off-road test and this bike is sure to be popular with sporty e-bike riders.
Power is derived from the 750W motor, distributed to Shimano 3-speed gearing, using a trigger shifter. The pedal assist operates on 5 speed levels. This e-bike ships as a class 3 bike, with on-demand throttle up to 20 mph, and pedal assist up to 28 mph. The Core rolls on 20” x 4” all-terrain fat tires that help it handle pavement, gravel and dirt considerably well.
This bike has a motorcycle-style long seat, set at a non-adjustable height of 35.25”. Since the seat cannot be adjusted to satisfy different rider heights, this bike is better suited for riders who are 5’10 – 6’1” in height.
Pedal Electric Bikes is a direct-to-consumer e-bike seller, and can ship your new e-bike to you within 3 – 5 business days, depending on availability and shipping destination. Pedal Electric Bikes come with a limited one-year warranty on frame, motor and certain electronic parts, and has a conditional 30-day return policy.
