Rahsaan Bahati founded the Bahati Foundation to improve access to opportunities for youth in Los Angeles and has been bringing the cycling community with him on his mission ever since. After becoming a 10-time U.S. Champion in professional cycling, Rahsaan implemented his vision for The Bahati Foundation in 2010. He started the foundation to give back by providing health and fitness gear, educational supplies, and musical instruments to inner-city youth while serving as a positive influence to local youth.
In this episode, Rahsaan and DZ talk about how he chose to go to Indiana University, the discrimination that Rahsaan has had to deal with and how he stayed positive, being a motivational speaker, and the various ways that the Bahati Foundation gives back to the community.
