Safety First: Ensure the bike is powered off and the battery is removed. Wear safety gloves and glasses to protect yourself.
Tools You’ll Need:
Allen keys or hex wrenches
Screwdrivers
A crank puller
A chain tool
Remove the Crank Arms: Use the crank puller to remove the crank arms from the Nitro. You’ll need to unscrew any bolts holding the arms in place before you can use the puller.
Detach the Motor Cables: Carefully disconnect any cables connected to the motor. These could be for power, controls, or sensors. Pay close attention to how these are connected for easy reassembly.
Unbolt the Motor: The mid-motor is typically bolted to the frame of the Nitro. Use the appropriate tools to carefully unbolt and remove the motor. Note the positioning and any spacers or brackets that are used for alignment.
Inspect and Service: Once the motor is removed, you can inspect it for any signs of wear, damage, or needed maintenance. This could involve further disassembling the motor itself, which should be done carefull.
Reassembly: To reassemble, follow the disassembly steps in reverse order. Ensure all connections are secure, and all parts are correctly aligned and tightened.
