Join us in this exciting endeavor as we partner with Nordica for the In Solidarity Project, featuring the stunning artwork of Alberto Lemus on the Nordica Cultura 2024 ski. For every Nordica Cultura ski sold, $150 will be donated as this project aims to create a tangible impact in the lives of young people. The proceeds will be shared among four exceptional organizations:
Hartland Community 4 Youth & Families: Empowering Salt Lake City’s refugee, immigrant, and Latino/a communities through education, sports, and environmental stewardship.
Latino Outdoors: Fostering connections between Latino communities and the outdoors, embracing culture and family as integral parts of the outdoor narrative.
United We Dream: Advocating for the rights and best interests of unaccompanied immigrant children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights: Champions for the rights of unaccompanied immigrant children, providing support wherever they land.
Alberto Lemus, the artistic genius behind the design, has masterfully combined elements of Latin culture with the power of nature. The stylized lion, adorned with a feathered headdress, exudes strength and courage, while an eagle’s battle with a snake represents Mexican national and indigenous identity. This design isn’t just art; it’s an invitation. It invites communities of color, especially our Latin/Hispanic friends, to step into the world of skiing and snowboarding. It’s about representation, it’s about diversity, and it’s about inclusivity. Together with In Solidarity’s Pledge, we’re committed to establishing initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in the outdoor industry.
